Split a bigger roll into files
  1. Prepare your fileA header row, then one property per row.
  2. Check the previewThe file is read first and anything the import would refuse is flagged.
  3. ImportValid rows are added to your properties. Anything refused is named.

Choosing a file

Where the product reads your spreadsheet, and what this demo does instead.

This replica accepts no upload. It runs entirely in your browser and makes no requests after it loads other than for its photos and the screens you open, so there is nothing here to read a file or write properties to. In the product this is a dropzone that takes a .csv, reads it on the spot, and shows you the rows it would create before anything is sent.
What it acceptsA .csv file, up to 500 rows
What it checks firstMissing addresses, a state it does not recognise, and any column it will ignore
What it createsOne property per valid row, with its rooms, so an inspection can be scheduled the same day

What the file needs

A header row is required. Columns can be in any order, and any other column is ignored and named in the result.

address (required)suburbproperty_typestate (QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, WA, TAS, ACT or NT; blank becomes QLD)access_instructionsrooms (";"-separated)

Only address is required. Use a semicolon to separate each room name: “Kitchen;Living” creates two.

A property with no state is filed as QLD. Include a state column if you manage outside Queensland: it decides the region and the bond authority shown on Settings. A state outside the eight skips the row.

A sample row

The header, then one property, exactly as the server reads it.

Scope

Covered here: what a property import file must contain and what the product does with it. Your own profile is on Settings, your public site on Website, your plan on Billing.

Rooms

The room names on a property are what every inspection checklist is built from, which is why they are worth getting right in the file rather than fixing later.

Refused rows

The product refuses a row rather than guessing at it, and names every refusal with its line number. Nothing is half imported.

Demo. Sample data, invented addresses and people. Nothing here is sent anywhere. It runs entirely in your browser on sample data, makes no request after it loads other than for its photos and the screens you open, and remembers what you do only in this tab.
